Photon Shockwave

Photon Shockwave a 100 card booster set with be previewing the week of November 5-6. Attendees will receive an Ultra-Rare preview card just for attenting! For this preview it is Alexandrite Dragon, what is interesting about Alexandrite is that it is a normal monster one of the first issued in a preview in years. It will come in handy to summon one of the best Xyz counter monsters Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon. Thunder End Dragon makes his appearance in this set, he has the ability to destroy all other monsters on the field except himself and with a 3000 attack he could be a very handy game ender. For those of you that don't pull Galaxy-Eyes Photon remember I said months ago that he will be released in tin form, he will be out November 1st 2011 so don't pay to much at the preview for him or  Number 10: IllumiKnight.

Konami has authorized the stores holding the events to randomly give away free game mats so you might get a special treat just for attending as well.

Gates of the Underworld!

Dark World Decks return in this Structure deck to wreck havoc on your opponent's hand and graveyard. Grapha Dragon Lord of Dark World can be summoned from the graveyard, just by returning 1 dark world card from the field to the hand he can also special summon monsters from your opponents hand if he is discarded by their card effects. Hand Destruction just got a whole lot riskier. Gates of the Underworld let you draw cards each time you ddiscard a fiend type monster, in addition if the discarded monster was a dark world monster it is special summoned to the field. Snoww Unlight of Darkworld takes it even further by allowing you to summon her to the field for free then by her effect being able to add 1 Dark World monster from your deck to your hand. If she is discarded by an opponent's card effect you can special summon 1 monster from your opponent's graveyard in defense position.

Samurai Assault Announced!

This 3 pack booster will feature 1 pack of Storm of Neos, Crimson Crisis, and Storm of Ragnarok. In addition each box comes with an Elder of the Six Samurai card. Each box will randomly give a Six Scrolls of the Samurai or Verdant Sanctuary card. Samurai Assault will be released December 06 2011 in North America.

Introducing:

konami has announced that they will hold Dragon Duel World Championships for the 12 and under crowd. I applaud konami for doing this as it is awkward for older players to play someone so young.  The Dragon Duel World Championships will be held alongside the regular World Championships. Further information will be posted once konami releases it.

Events

Yu-Gi-oh! Championship Series will be held in Columbus Ohio USA, on October 22-23 in the Greater Columbus Convention Center for details click here.

The Yu-Gi-Oh Championship Series to be held in Monterray Mexico has been postponed perhaps due to the Cartels waging war on the populace. I will post updates if anything changes.
