It seems quite a few players are pretty upset with the recent changes Konami has made to Boosterpass purchasing through the main site.

Where , if you purchase Boosterpasses via paypal, the email address you use must match your YGO account.

What this effectively does is, it stops the ability to trade these Boosterpasses to other accounts. As the code is only valid for the purchasing account.

Many think this will reduce the amount of scamming in game. Unfortunately...it will NOT.

Boosterpases were traded for long before they were available for purchase through the games official site.

It WILL stop the profiteering players who used to trade these passes but, it won't stop players from trading boosterpasses purchased through 3rd party retailers. As those passes are NOT subject to the above mentioned conditions.

Which effectively takes us back 2 years, to when NO-ONE could purchase passes via the games offiical site at all.

Let's not forget that we aren't ALL able to purchase passes from the main site anyway. Only certain country's have the abilty.

My country (Australia) has never had the ability to purchase anything other than BP150's. Which sux because we have no way of obtaining the structure decks or bonus cards for any phase pass.

So, the recent changes wont effect EVERYONE. Some of us never had the luxury in the 1st place.

It won't effect the scammers either, as they never cough up legit passes.

It will only effect those who had been trading these boosters.
